Dentists have pioneered the use of oral appliance therapy for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.
Provided by Dr. LaCosse, oral appliance therapy uses a custom-fit, “mouth guard-like” device worn only during sleep. The devices are designed to position the lower jaw slightly forward and down which opens the airway.
These devices are simple, portable, and silent, and they don’t require use of a CPAP.
